Maintenance and Retrofitting

ELEMKA undertakes maintenance, repair and rehabilitation of infrastructure elements – a unique, highly specialised task that requires a different approach for each individual construction work and type of repair. This may include among others minor interventions, such as repair of bearing surfaces, anti-corrosion protection, rehabilitation of surfaces or replacement of technical components, such as bearings, joints, etc. These tasks require experienced and inventive crews, especially in cases involving lifting using hydraulic jacks in confined spaces or where access is obstructed.

In addition to repairing or replacing a worn or destroyed component, other key maintenance and repair activities refer to bringing existing construction works up to the current state-of-the-art and ensure that they meet the requirements of the current anti-seismic regulations, in order to enhance their anti-seismic protection and prolong their lifetime.
