Inspection and Monitoring

The purpose of the inspection of the structures and the infrastructure in general, is to reveal any defects and operational problems, areas of tension and loads not permitted by design, as well as possible sources which are creating future problems.

The monitoring with the use of special measuring instruments, such as accelerometres, micrometres and special transmitters, aims to record the real behaviour of a technical project in operational and seismic conditions, even in real time. In this way, the correct and efficient maintenance of the project is achieved with interventions in the areas that need immediate repair, the maintenance cost is reduced, the operating period is extended as well as the investment of the construction is ensured.

In parallel, the monitoring during the construction allows the continuous and on-site recording of the structure behaviour in real conditions, contributing to the improvement of the design, the upgrade and evolution of the specifications and regulations, as well as to the selection of the optimal methodology of the construction.
